A kiddie ride – or kids’ ride – is a coin-operated amusement ride for small children. Kiddie rides are commonly available in amusement parks, arcades, malls, hotel game rooms and outside supermarkets and discount department stores. The Kiddie Rides were invented by James Otto Hahs of Sikeston in 1930. They are merry-go-rounds for children, of different shapes, which work with money. Initially the kiddie wrinkles were created in wood then aluminum and now in resin. Their designs are more and more worked and their colors more vivid. They are becoming more and more sophisticated and modern. They diversify into several forms and different modes of play. The Kiddie Rides, are usually placed indoors or outdoors, available at amusement parks, arcade parks, shopping malls, gambling halls as well as supermarkets or department stores. You can also find them in other places like: restaurants, grocery stores, car dealerships etc … The mode of employment and simple, just put a coin in the coin mechanism and the merry-go-round moves According to the merry-go-round the movement will be different ex: carousel => rotary movements / Car => lateral movements They do not have all the same functionality: Music more or less strong, some possess pedals, a steering wheel, buttons etc … Kiddies Rides were mainly used to increase turnover but is growing more and more (present in almost all forms of businesses)
